Meta tags and SEO

Usually search engines first look at the body of content and page title of webpage to check the relevancy of the page, so it is always better to have a relevant title tag, usually title tag appears in the first line of the search. There are some key aspect of title tag

Use unique title tag: Every page should use unique title tag, that helps search engine to distinct the page from others on website
Page content Relevancy Use a title tag that fairly describe the page content, Choosing an unrelated title tag can further harm your SERP ranking
Concise and descriptive title Use a brief and descriptive title tag. If your title tag is tool search engines will show only a portion of it

Another important meta tag is description meta tag, as it gives summary of page to the search engine, Description meta tag can be of one or two lines or even a short paragraph.Now, You can also analysis your desciption meta tag in google webmaster tool. Consider these points while using description meta tag.

Description meta tag should fairly describe the page content
Use unique description meta tag for each page, it will help the use and search engines to distinct the page from others pages
Use short and relevant description tag

Other important meta tag is keyword meta tag. Well, we understand google does not care about keyword meta tag but other major search engines (Ex. bing , yahoo) still heavily rely on keyword meta tag. Usually search engines have limit on the number of keywords, so it's better to use fair amount of keywords(up to 250 characters).We suggest you to consider these key point before using keyword meta tag.

Use fair amount of keywords (ranging 200-250 characters). Less amount can further narrow down your category while higher amount can cut down your page relevancy
Don't Repeat your keyword too much otherwise search engines will consider it as spam. Usually two repetition is fine with search engines
